The GSU Convocation Center has many accessible seating options available. Guests needing accessible seats may purchase tickets online through Ticketmaster or by calling 800-745-3000. Tickets may also be purchased at the GSU Convocation Center Box Office on event day next to Gate 2.
Guests who purchased non-accessible seats and need accessible seats can exchange (subject to availability) the tickets at the GSU Convocation Center Box Office on the day of the event.
All guests entering the GSU Convocation Center must have a valid event ticket to gain admission. Guests should retain their tickets to verify proper seat location. Re-entry to the Convocation Center is prohibited. Children under the age of two years old do not need a ticket to enter if they sit in parent/guardian's lap. Any guest 2+ will require a ticket.
The GSU Convocation Center works hard to promote responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. Our alcohol policies are listed below:
- All guests purchasing alcohol must present a valid ID.
- No alcohol will be sold to guests who appear to be impaired.
- There is a two (2) alcohol drink limit per valid ID per transaction.
- Alcohol sales are cut off 30 minutes before an event ends (or at the discretion of the Convocation Center staff)
- Management reserves the right to cut off alcohol sales at its discretion.
- Guests passing alcohol to minors will be ejected and subject to arrest.
- Guests possessing alcohol who do not have proof of being at least 21 years of age may be ejected.
- We reserve the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any guest.
- Alcoholic beverages may not be brought into the Convocation Center. Any attempt to bring alcohol into the Convocation Center will be considered a violation of the Code of Conduct and may result in the guests being ejected, arrested, or revoked tickets.
- All guests must dispose of alcoholic beverages before exiting the GSU Convocation Center.
Animals are not permitted inside the GSU Convocation Center, except for service animals and service animals in training for guests with disabilities. Please make sure you have any necessary documentation, credentials or identification.
The GSU Convocation Center does not have an ATM on the premises.
AEDs are located throughout the GSU Convocation Center.
Baby changing stations are located in all restrooms throughout the GSU Convocation Center. The Nursing room is located across from section 112 on the main concourse.
**Clear Bag Policy**
Panther fans are required to carry clear bags to hold their belongings that are no larger than 12" X 6" X 12", 1-gallon plastic freezer bag, and/or Clutches that are no larger than 4.5" X 6.5", approximately the size of a hand.
Bags larger than 12" x 6" x 12" and all backpacks are prohibited at GSU Convocation Center. Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements, diaper bags or special needs.
All bags are subject to search. Guests are encouraged to return unauthorized bags to their vehicles. Georgia State University will NOT provide a bag check station that is secure and monitored to allow fans to check bags in and out during the event.
The Box Office is located next to gate 2 on the corner of Capital Ave SE and Fulton St SW.
The Box Office is only open on event days and will open one hour prior to the event's scheduled door time.
Cameras with interchangeable or detachable lenses or fixed lenses larger than 3 inches are prohibited at the GSU Convocation Center. Cell phone cameras, iPads, small tablets, or small point & shoot cameras are allowed. Mono/tripods and selfie sticks are prohibited.
Children under two years old do not need a ticket to enter if they sit in a parent/guardian's lap. Any guest 2+ will require a ticket. Diaper Bags accompanying a child are permitted but are subject to search. Parents may bring in plastic bottles of formula or milk inside the arena. Strollers are welcome inside the GSU Convocation Center, but strollers must be checked inside Gate 2 at the Guest Service Center.
Elevators are for priority use of guests with accessibility needs; all other guests should use stairs when possible. A public elevator is located inside gate 1, or Section 108.
The GSU Convocation Center staff members have been trained in emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures. In the event of an emergency, please follow the direction of staff for your safety and the safety of others.
Emergency Medical Services and First Aid
If medical assistance is needed, please notify the closest GSU Convocation Center staff member immediately. First Aid is located across from sections 112 and 113.
Only authorized personnel, ages 16 and older, with proper credentials, will be permitted on the floor before, during or after a game. Any unauthorized person on the Convocation Center floor will be removed and subject to ejection or arrest.
The distribution of any flyers, leaflets, stickers or petitions on the GSU Convocation Center property must be approved by management in writing before the event.
The Georgia State University Convocation Center has four concessions on the concourse level.

The GSU Convocation Center has three public Gates. Gate openings may vary depending on the event. Typically, gates open 60 minutes before tipoff for basketball games and 90 minutes before the start of commencement ceremonies.
Guest services are located by the ticket office inside gate 2.
Laptops are not permitted inside the GSU Convocation Center unless approval is granted before the event. iPads or similarly sized tablets are permitted for GSU events and basketball games.
During events, the Lost & Found is located at the Guest Service Center inside of Gate 2, located next to the ticket office. After the event, the Convocation Center transfers lost items to the university’s lost and found at Georgia State University Police Headquarters. Contact the Georgia State University Police information desk at 404-413-3234.
The Mother’s Nursing Room is on the main concourse near section 112.
Outside food and drinks are not allowed in the GSU Convocation Center. We ask that fans leave any food or beverage items inside their vehicle or dispose of them at the security checkpoint before entering the Convocation Center. The only exceptions are:
- Empty water bottle
- Parents with small children may bring plastic bottles of formula or milk inside the arena.
- Approved medically necessary snacks.

Campus Shuttle

The closest Marta Station is the Georgia State Station at 170 Piedmont Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30303, approximately .7 miles from the Convocation Center.

Walking and Bicycling
The Convocation Center has bicycle racks available outside of gates 2 and 3.
Accessible Parking
The GSU Convocation Center offers accessible parking in all of our parking lots. Spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. GSU Convocation Center operates the Georgia State Blue Lot and Green Lot. For event-specific information, please visit our Parking and Transportation page.
Georgia State University, the Sun Belt Conference and the NCAA promote good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches and spectators. We encourage all fans to support the participants and officials positively. Thank you for displaying your sportsmanship at Georgia State events.
Rowdy, threatening or inconsiderate behavior, such as profane and abusive language, fighting or drunkenness, shall not be tolerated within the GSU Convocation Center.
The following items and activities are prohibited at GSU Convocation Center out of concern for the safety of our guests, employees and participants:
- Artificial Noisemakers
- Animals (except certified service animals)
- Backpacks
- Bags larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
- Outside food and drink
- Fireworks
- Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, and rollerblades
- Coolers
- Illegal Substances
- Laser Pointers
- Flag poles and sticks
- Strollers in seats
- Umbrellas
- Video Cameras
- Weapons
- Large Signs (signs up to 3’x3’ are permitted)
*Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements or special needs; please ensure you have any necessary documentation, credentials or identification. Diaper bags are permitted only if accompanied by an infant.
All persons and belongings are subject to search. Guests are encouraged to return unauthorized items to their vehicles. Georgia State University cannot safeguard items not permitted into the Convocation Center. Prohibited items in the arena will be confiscated and not returned.
Patrons violating arena policies are subject to removal from the Convocation Center, arrest and prosecution under applicable laws and statutes and could forfeit ticket privileges to future events. Students who violate rules may also be subject to disciplinary procedures through the University's Office of Student Conduct.
There is no re-entry into the Convocation Center.
- When possible, all parties should remain together within their groups.
- Designate a meeting location in case someone gets separated from the family/group.
- Escort all children to restroom facilities.
- Agree on a time to leave the event.
- If separated from the group, go to a police officer or event staff member.
- Police Operations can be reached at 404-413-3333.
- Don't wander off from the group or explore isolated areas.
- Report all suspicious activity to a police officer or call 911.
Signs/banners are permitted within the Convocation Center only if they meet the following guidelines:
The sign/banner is not larger than 3' x 3'.
The sign/banner does not impair the view of any guest in the stadium or block any existing signage or vent.
The information on the sign/banner cannot be construed as vulgar, offensive, graphic or outside of what the community standard would consider in "good taste."
Signs/Banners are not permitted to be hung anywhere inside the Convocation Center.
Be prepared to return any prohibited sign/banner/pole/stick to your vehicle.
GSU Convocation Center management personnel reserves the right to confiscate signs, banners and flags that violate arena policy, interfere with another guest's view or create a safety issue.
In accordance with Georgia state law and Georgia State University policies, the GSU Convocation Center has been designated a non-smoking venue. A smoke-free environment inside athletic venues is the norm within the Sun Belt Conference and nationally.
Smoking in any form through tobacco products (pipes, cigars and cigarettes) or "vaping" with e-cigarettes is prohibited in the seating bowl, on the concourse and in restrooms. Violators of this policy will be ejected from the Convocation Center.
Strollers are prohibited inside the GSU Convocation Center. Guests may check their stroller at the Guest Services window inside Gate 2.

Persons of legal age may consume malt beverages and unfortified wine in the GSU Convocation Center parking facilities in connection with tailgating.
GSU Convocation Center visitors shall carry a picture ID in accordance with University regulations. All persons consuming alcohol in the parking lots shall carry a driver's license on them at all times.
Umbrellas are allowed inside the GSU Convocation Center.
